Michele originally joined Hodgson Pratt & Associates, P.C. in 1988. After 7 years and the birth of her twin boys, Michele left to pursue a career at a Not-for-Profit Community Health Center where she was the Vice President of Finance. “A fulfilling experience for me is knowing that I have made a professional contribution to my clients and to the Community. My work at the Health Center was an enriching and personally rewarding experience.”

As the firm’s Director of Audit and Accounting, Michele is responsible for a variety of services provided to Community Health Centers, Not-for-Profit organizations and For-Profit businesses, and has been a part-time controller for some of our clients. In addition, Michele is responsible for Quality Control within the firm.

Michele graduated from Providence College with a Masters in Business Administration and from Stonehill College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 1988. She has many years experience providing accounting, auditing and consulting services to a variety of business, healthcare and not-for-profit organizations.

In addition to her graduate studies, Michele has participated in advance study programs including, Case Management certificate course sponsored by the New England Healthcare Assembly and a program entitled Strategic Financial Leadership for Community Health Centers and Community Hospitals at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Michele is a past Board member of the YWCA of Southeastern Massachusetts and Greater New Bedford Adult Day Health Care. She has been invited by the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers to provide training seminars and is currently on the list of consultants for the Bureau of Primary Health Care.

Michele is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, Healthcare Financial Management Association, Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers and the National Association of Community Health Centers.

When Michele is not at work with her “Partner” husband James, she is spending invaluable time with her twin sons Ian and Tyler who keep her doubly busy!
